Life can be messy. One day everything feels great, and the next, you’re staring down a million unknowns. As a 2 something-year-old, I get it. You’re just trying to figure it out, whether it’s a job that’s stressing you out, relationships that feel complicated, or those moments when you’re just tired. Sometimes, it feels like the world expects you to have it all together, but the truth is, none of us do.
That’s where grace comes in, and it’s not just for the big moments. It’s in the messy, confusing, and even the boring parts of life too.
Letting Go of Control
We love to plan, right? Everything needs to fit into a neat little box. But life doesn’t always work like that. And honestly? That’s okay. It’s terrifying not knowing what’s coming next, but that’s where we learn to trust. Trust that you don’t need to control everything to be okay. Trust that grace is still there, even when things don’t go as planned.
The Everyday Wins
The thing about grace is it doesn’t just show up in the "big" moments; like when you land your dream job or finally hit a huge milestone. It’s in the small victories too. Maybe today, you didn’t get everything done, but you showed up. Maybe you got out of bed, had a cup of coffee, and went for a walk. Those moments matter.
Grace isn’t always about doing it all or being perfect, sometimes, it’s about just getting through the day, even if all you did was survive. That’s enough.
Embracing the Hard Days
We all have those days when we just want to stay in bed, scroll through TikTok, and avoid everything. It’s okay to have days where you feel like you’re not doing enough. But even on those days, grace is there. It’s okay to rest, to be tired, and to need a break. Just because life’s messy doesn’t mean we’ve failed — it’s just part of the process.
Moving Forward with Trust
At 25, I’m learning that the unknown doesn’t have to be scary. Sure, it’s a little nerve-wracking not knowing what’s coming next, but the real growth happens when we stop trying to control every little thing and just let life unfold. Grace is what helps us do that, it’s what carries us through the confusion, the stress, and the days when we don’t have it all figured out.
So, take a deep breath. You don’t need to know all the answers. Embrace the unknown, and trust that grace will meet you in the mess. Even in the small, everyday moments, grace is there, reminding you that it’s okay not to have it all together.
You’ve got this.
